Project Activity

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Daren Still and am Essex & Suffolk Water’s Project Manager looking after this scheme through to its completion. The scheme will be delivered by Essex & Suffolk Water’s delivery partner Lowman Ltd.

Starting in late January 2025 we will be replacing the existing water main between the junction from the junction with Steeple Road/Bradwell Road to St Lawrence Holiday Park. This project is essential as it will replace an aging water main that has unfortunately experienced some issues in the past, leading to interruptions in service. Our goal is to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted water supply for you and the community.

The majority of the work will take place in the adjacent fields, minimising any disruption. However, there will be some instances where we need to work within the road carriageway for short sections. For everyone’s safety, we will implement traffic management during these times. Rest assured, we will give you advance notice with clear signs outlining the dates and times of any road work approximately two weeks before it begins.

As the project takes place, we will keep you informed of our progress and any updates on the key stages (particularly the sections in the roadway) and the completion date.
