The overall scheme involves the installation of 4.8km of new water main and the construction of a new booster pumping station at our Lound Water Treatment Works. The scheme will increase the capacity of our existing water network in the area allowing us to provide a more efficient service to our customers.
What will the working hours be?
0700hrs – 1800hrs week days.
Will my water supply be affected?
There will be no loss of water supply.
Will the work cause disruption?
There will be traffic diversions in place as a result of the closures along Beccles Road
Will access to my property be maintained?
Access to all residents and businesses will be in place.
How will residents be kept updated?
Residents can be updated via the community portal.
Will the site be dangerous?
The site will be a construction site with open excavations at times.
What will it look like when the works are complete?
Beccles Road will be instated to its original condition
Will there be dust, vibration and noise?
Equipment have been employed that will minimise noise and dust.

What happens on bin collection days if the bin wagon cannot get to my property?
There will be no restrictions to access for bin collection.
Will I be able to access my drive or directly park outside my property?
Residents will be able to access their drive and park outside their homes.
