There may still be updates, so the project will remain here. We are still monitoring the project and will reply to any comments. So if you have any questions please feel free to comment or contact us here.
The overall scheme involves the installation of 4.8km of new water main and the construction of a new booster pumping station at our Lound Water Treatment Works. The scheme will increase the capacity of our existing water network in the area allowing us to provide a more efficient service to our customers.
This is a major scheme and we have begun the works for the installation of a section of the associated pipe work along Beccles Road, in September 2018 to continue for a number of months.
During this time we are proposing a phased road closure on along Beccles Road to allow the work to be carried out safely for both our workforce and the general public. Diversion routes will be in place during this time - more information about this can be found in the 'Traffic Information' tab.
We will be working along Beccles Road and the work will involve excavation and installation for 600mm ductile iron and 450mm ductile iron water mains. Once installed the road will be backfilled and reinstated.
