Layer WTW Enhancements

To ensure Essex & Suffolk Water (ESW) can continue to deliver excellent quality water, we are planning the replacement of our sandwashing plant at Layer Water Treatment Works. The new sandwasher will be located in a new purpose-built yard to the west of the existing site.

Good afternoon everyone - I hope you are well.

To progress with the planned work, we need to close Church Road in front of our Treatment Works, opposite the tennis court, for a short while to install a new drain pipe. The road closure is planned for Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th August and a diversion route via Layer Breton will be in place.

We will do all we can to minimise the inconvenience to residents and visitors to Layer, and would like to thank you in advance for your patience while we complete this essential work.
