Essex & Suffolk Water, in conjunction with our partners MWH, Natural England, the Environment Agency, the Broads Authority and Norfolk Wildlife Trust, will be mud pumping specific areas of the Trinity Broads during the winter of 2016/17.
Project Manager, Essex & Suffolk Water
I joined Essex & Suffolk Water in 1989 and have worked on capital projects for the past 15 year’s project managing various schemes ranging from reservoir and tower refurbishments to construction of a new pumping station. For Trinity Broads, I have been part of the project team since 2014.
Through this project we aim to achieve two key benefits; compliance with the new abstraction conditions therefore maintaining continuity of supply from Ormesby Treatment Works and conserving the natural environment by reducing effects of raw water abstraction.
Principal Civil Engineer, MWH
I have been with MWH as a civil and environmental engineer for over 20 years working on various water supply and treatment schemes. I am now the technical lead for MWH on Essex and Suffolk Water projects and have been working on the Trinity Broads project during this past year leading the contributions from colleagues in MWH. By working with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust I have a far greater awareness of the environmental concerns within the Broads and I am looking forward to being part of a scheme that helps to ensure the best management possible of this unique habitat. I am also looking forward to working with our contracting partners to deliver our project aims and secure the water supply throughout the area.
There will be a number of other people and contractors working on the site delivering their element of the project:
